If you are a resident of Delhi who forgot or got busy during the renewal of your learning license on March 31, 2022, then there is good news for you all! The Delhi Transport Department<\/strong><\/em><\/a> had initially extended the validity of learner\u2019s driving licenses expiring by March 31 by two months. Now you can do that <\/span>by May 31, 2022<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Statement<\/b><\/p>\n

In a statement, Kailash Gahlot, Delhi\u2019s Transport Minister, declared there is an ultimate chance for Delhites to renew their learner\u2019s license after two months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Thursday, Gahlot tweeted on Twitter that Learner’s Licenses whose validity expires by March 31 have been extended for two months, i.e., up to May 31. He additionally attached an image of the order issued by the Delhi Transport Department during this association. Please note that this is the last and final chance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The order issued by the Transport Department stated that the validity of driving learner\u2019s licenses had been extended from time to time due to the new appointments for test and driving skill test were suspended by the agreement of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) rules and guidelines to curb the spread of Covid-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Full Notice<\/b><\/p>\n

The notice states, \u201cIt has come to notice that several learner\u2019s license holders, which were declared valid between February 1, 2020, and March 31, 2022, due to extended validity on account of the pandemic situation, have not yet got the skill test appointments and there are many more applicants than the available driving skill test slots.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore, the validity of those learner\u2019s licenses issued by this department whose validity will expire by March 31, 2022, is further extended as a final opportunity for two months, i.e., up to May 31, 2022\u201d. The order also said that the last extension for a driving learner\u2019s license validity was given to March 31, 2022, in January this year.<\/span><\/p>\n
