Maruti is again set to launch its upcoming second-generation 2022 Maruti Celerio hatchback in November 2021, during Diwali. This new model has already been noticed various times, revealing most of the exterior and interior details.

The 2022 Maruti Celerio hatchback comes with all-new styling with a new front grille, headlamps, and bumpers. There is a chrome bar that runs across the grille and connects the headlamps. According to the spy pictures, the new model is going to be larger than the present model. The new model provides extra space in the cabin. 

The new Maruti Celerio 2022 has an angular design style rather than a square design. A number of its key exterior highlights include- 

  • Tweaked front bumper with contrast black bits,
  • Flattish-oval grille along with honeycomb pattern, 
  • Extended glasshouse and wheelbase.
  • New fog lamp assembly, 
  • Triangular headlamps, which is connected with a chrome strip,

The 2022 Maruti Celerio is going to be supported by Suzuki’s lightweight HEARTECT platform. The new model comes with larger window space, body-colored ORVMs, new taillights, and new alloy wheels.

Maruti’s 1.0L Dualjet motor has changed the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), dual injectors near the inlet valves, and higher compression ratio. These technologies increased the fuel potency of the vehicle. According to sources, the new Maruti Celerio 2022 Satnam motor will deliver the best-in-class fuel potency of around 26kmpl. Its arch rivals Hyundai Grand i10T provide a mileage of 18.9kmpl, and Tiago AMT offers 23.84kmpl. 


It is expected that the second-generation 2022 Maruti Celerio will cost Rs. 4.50 Lakhs to 6.00 Lakhs.


After the launch, Maruti Celerio will compete with Hyundai Grand i20T and Tiago AMT.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R eV

Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R has been one of the most loved Indian cars since it was first launched in 1999 in the country. It will also be the first electric car from Maruti in the Indian market. Towards 2020, Maruti Suzuki had showcased an electric vehicle at the MOVE Summit in Delhi. Dubbed as the ‘EV,’ the car’s look will be the same as the model sold in Japan.

The new Maruti Suzuki Wagon R eV does not look like the petrol-engine Wagon R at all. It is bold and has its own distinct identity. From the front, you will notice the split grating and headlamps. The front bumper adds sportiness and an enormous grille. There is no engine in the front. It also boasts a B-pillar that divides the car into two sections. This gives the impression of sliding doors for the rear passengers. The ORVMs are mounted on the doors and not on the A-pillar. The taillights are placed on top of the rear bumper. It also comes with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. 


It is expected that the upcoming Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R will cost between Rs. 7 Lakhs to 10 Lakhs.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

The Suzuki Jimny, which was earlier sold as the Maruti Suzuki Gypsy in India, will be launched in November. Gypsy fans are trying to look forward to the new Jimny. Projected to its roots, this new-generation model continues to be supported by a ladder frame and comes with a 4×4 system. The Jimny is going to be 4m long. Thus, it can be the first cheapest 4×4 SUV on sale in India.

Aside from the new style, the interiors also are improved. As of now, it comes with a fashionable interior with all the advanced features. There is no official news of the engine, but sources said it might be similar to the engine used in Vitara Brezza, Ciaz, and Ertiga. It will have a the1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. After its launch, it will compete with Mahindra Thar.


It is estimated that the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny will range between Rs. 10 Lakhs to 14 Lakhs.
