Hyundai Motor India has launched the BS6 Elantra Diesel in the Indian Market at the starting price of INR 18.70 lakh. It comes in two models, SX MT priced at Rs. 18.70 lakh and the SX (O) AT priced at Rs. 20.65 lakh. (Ex-showroom prices).
The Elantra BS6 Petrol was launched earlier, and it is offered in three models of SX, MT, SX, AT, and SX (O) AT with the starting price of INR 17.60 lakh and goes up to INR 19.55 lakh.
Moreover, the Elantra BS6 diesel comes supported with an updated 1.5 liter, 4 cylinders, U2 CRDi BS6 Diesel engine that delivers around 113BHP of power at 4000 RPM, and 250Nm of Peak Torque at 1500-2750 RPM. It comes with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission gearbox.
In terms of style and design, it is too similar to the petrol model. It gets a revised cascading grille, sharper LED quad projector headlamps with LED DRLs, revised bumper, triangular fog lamps, and more sculpted lines. The Elantra Diesel also gets equipped with new 16-inch alloy wheels; chrome door handles with pocket light. The cabin of the car comes with a dual-tone black beige interior with a revised dashboard.
The Hyundai Elantra BS6 Diesel is featured with extensive features including wireless charger, infinity sound system with door speakers, ventilated front seats, center speaker, tweeters, sub-woofer, cruise control, dual-zone climate control with cluster ionizer, rear AC vents, electric sunroof, aluminium pedals. The Car is also featured with geo-fencing, SOS/emergency assistance, remote access, voice recognition, vehicle relationship management, alert services, and other basic security features.
