Renault Kiger HBC Will going to be Launched Soon in the Indian market

Renault India is planning to launch its Kiger HBC in the Indian Market at the starting price of Rs. 9 lakh(ex-showroom price). The Renault Kiger HBC is expected to come with new design elements and features. Renault India sells its cars in Delhi through an extensive network of dealers spread across the city.

The upcoming Renault HBC (Kiger) interiors are spied for the first time. Although it shares a certain fraction with the Triber, the SUV has new design elements such as a floating touchscreen infotainment system and chunky climate control knobs. Common bits between the two models include the placement of the engine start-stop button and the steering wheel which now provides controls for the audio system and cruise control.

In terms of features, the HBC comes with a touchscreen infotainment system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start, steering mounted audio control as well as digital instrument display needed. On the safety front, it should come with 4 airbags, ABS with EBD, a camera, and a rear parking sensor with electronic stability control.

The engine is estimated to be a turbocharged version of the Tribar’s 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine. Diesel will be absent as Renault is one of several carmakers that have decided to drop diesel engines given BS6 emission standards. Also, it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine Renault offering automatic transmissions with HBC, given that Kwid and Duster have and Triber will get one in the future.

Renault HBC is expected to reach the showroom by October 2020, starting at Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). After the launch, the car is expected to go against the likes of the Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, and the upcoming Nissan Magnite.
